Following the recent announcement of the HSBC SVNS Series, we are pleased to confirm the Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens will take place on 17-19 April 2026 – as the first of the 2026 World Championship events.

As excitement builds for the Hong Kong Sevens, we invite you to the annual Long Lunch which brings together our valued guests, partners, and rugby enthusiasts. We hope you can join us for an enjoyable afternoon against a backdrop of live entertainment, a three-course lunch, free-flow refreshments, and fantastic auction prizes.

4:45pm – 6:00pm: Dragons Showcase Matches
7:00pm: Hong Kong China Men vs Japan XV

This year’s event, which will officially launch the 2026 Cathay/HSBC Hong Kong Sevens, will take centre stage on the South Terrace overlooking the famed HK7s South Stand and the spectacular setting of Kai Tak Stadium. Our entertainment throughout the afternoon will include retired Springbok rugby star and Hall of Famer Bryan Habana, and special guests including British comedian Simon Evans. The Long Lunch continues to support our official Charity Partner, Laureus ‘Sport For Good’.

Hong Kong China Men’s XV v Japan XV – 24 October 2025 | 7:00pm | Event Link

Our Hong Kong China Men's XVs take on the Japan XV side (Japan’s national A team) following the Long Lunch at Kai Tak Main Stadium.

The match will be the first match to be played in Hong Kong since the team’s historic qualification for the Men’s Rugby World Cup 2027 in Australia, and a first appearance for a Hong Kong China 15s team at Kai Tak Stadium.
