14 June 2026 - Talent+ Volunteer Programme: Understanding the Dragon Boat Festival and Mini Dragon Boat Workshop

The Blue House cluster in Wan Chai is a famous historical landmark in Hong Kong. The "Viva Blue House" revitalisation project, organised by St. James' Settlement, has for many years implemented a people-oriented approach to conservation and revitalisation through various community activities, enriching the human capital of the community and contributing to the creation of an inclusive society.

To celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival and achieve the goals of the "Talent Connects Community, Volunteers Show Care" initiative, the Hong Kong Talent Engage (HKTE) and Viva Blue House(Blue House) are going to co-organize the "Dragon Boat Festival & Mini Dragon Boat Workshop" on June 14. The event aims that incoming talents and their families can share the festive joy with local volunteers and residents in this historic community.

The mini dragon boat activities are very popular with parents and children every Dragon Boat Festival. We cordially invite talent, friends and their families to become event volunteers, helping residents of Wan Chai and other districts to learn how to reuse environmentally friendly materials to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival. Participants can learn about Wan Chai's 100-year history and prepare for the festival with local families. By connecting with others, everyone can bring blessings to Hong Kong and better integrate into the local community.

Activities include:

• Eco-friendly Crafts: Learn how to make mini dragon boats using recycled materials.
• Community Engagement: Assist Blue House staff and local families in organising mini dragon boat workshops and setting up competition venue.
• Fun Experience: Participate in the "6th Mini Dragon Boat Competition" together.

Event Date: 14 June 2026 (Sunday)

Time: 1:00 pm - 5:00 pm

Participants: Incoming talents and their children (aged 4 or above)
