In Conversation with Ms. Winnie Ho, Secretary for Housing

The housing shortage in Hong Kong is well documented and has attracted significant attention from the public and private sectors alike. Faced with a projected shortfall of 430,000 units in the period to 2033, together with lengthy waiting times for Public Housing, Government policy is heavily focused on measures to boost access to housing and early achievements are notable.

Within this context, the Government’s programme to move forward with important transitional and public housing programmes is gathering pace and there is significant interest amongst the business community to explore opportunities for collaboration to support Government to achieve its objectives.
The British Chamber is therefore delighted to have the opportunity to hear from Ms. Winne Ho, Secretary for Housing, Government of the HKSAR, who will discuss the work that the Government is doing to bring forward the development of public housing, the progress so far and the coming programme to accelerate the delivery of new housing units.

As a business community in Hong Kong we are keen to offer our support and Ms. Ho will offer insights into the role that business might play to collaborate and support forward progress.
