China Economic Outlook 2023

Louise Loo, Senior Economist, Oxford Economics

Economic Outlook 2023
The pace of China’s reopening has proceeded faster than the market had anticipated. However, the combination of fiscal constraints, fierce headwinds from the property sector, and our expectations of shallow recessions across key DM economies will present challenges to its economic growth in 2023. In this webinar, we discuss the key themes that we expect to characterize China’s economic developments and policy in 2023, as well as its relations with the rest of the world.
