The 2021 Asia outlook after the pandemic and US elections

Supported by the China Committee

Speaker:

Tommy Wu, Lead Economist, Oxford Economics

How will Asian economies perform in 2021? What will be the implications of Covid-19 vaccines for growth? Will a Biden administration in the US be a game changer for Asia? Tommy Wu, Lead Economist at Oxford Economics, will present the 2021 economic outlook for Asia and highlight the key trends and challenges that China and Hong Kong are facing. He will also discuss the implications of a Biden administration for Asia via its impact on the US economy and the US policy stance vis-à-vis China and the rest of Asia. In particular, he will explore whether US-China decoupling will end under a more pragmatic US President, and what this means for Asia’s supply chains.

Details on how to join will be sent via email by 5pm the day before the webinar.
