 In the 21st Century, as automation and AI accelerate, the value of human “soft skills”  including collaboration, creativity, initiative, persistence, empathy, flexibility, and adaptability are becoming increasingly important to the future workplace. 

Today, companies are scrambling to move into new creative directions, or like Blockbuster, Nokia and Sears, face with being pushed out by smaller and nimbler organisations. The lesson: “Innovate or die.” 

Schools must create lifelong learners to enable pivoting of skills to new roles over a lifetime of contributing in the future workplaces, where the most critical skills are entrepreneurship and initiative. This webinar will cover how Montessori education can help individuals develop initiative and a sense of entrepreneurship at a young age, paving the way to a fulfilling and successful future. 

About the speakers

Anne Sawyer, an entrepreneur at heart, co-founded The International Montessori School in 2002. IMS is one of the largest Montessori schools in the world, and a pioneer in Dual-Language Montessori instruction. Anne holds a Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Case Western Reserve University, has worked as a strategic analyst and headed the new business development efforts for a Fortune 500 company in the US and Asia prior to creating IMS.

Sue Finkelstein, is a Nationally Board Certified Counselor and holds Masters degrees in both Education and Counseling. Sue has been working in the field of mental health and education for over 30 years. She has taught development and psychology courses at the graduate level for the Psychology and Education Departments at Coppin State University and Loyola University Maryland. Her expertise is in supporting positive teacher strategies and effective parenting strategies
