The pace of digital transformation is rising exponentially and is changing the landscape of business as we know it, and it could be now be argued that 2020 has made every company a digital company.

Join us to hear from the Amazon best bookseller and former TEDx speaker as she talks all things transformation. From digital transformation to personal transformation, she’ll share her own experiences as well as delving into its impact on the future of work and the customer experience.
  
Claire has over 20 years of experience in consumer banking and payments. After graduating from Yale, she started her career at American Express in New York City where she managed strategic relationships with the company’s largest travel and retail partners. She joined Citi to grow the American Airlines portfolio and lead the shift from traditional to digital marketing. Shortly after she was selected for the global management program before taking on various senior-level positions throughout the consumer bank.


Claire relocated to Singapore in 2011 to lead Citi Global Client Banking for Asia Pacific. In 2017, she joined Visa as Head of Visa Consulting and Analytics for Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan. Here she led a team of consultants and data scientists focused on delivering actionable customer insights and client solutions in the fast-growing payments and fintech space.


Claire is also the author of Amazon bestseller Don’t Forget the Soap (And Other Reminders from My Fabulous Filipina Mother). She is a passionate advocate of women’s leadership and empowerment and delivered a powerful talk at TEDxWanChai entitled “Why Asia Needs More Tiger Women.” Claire is a proud recipient of the 100 Most Influential Filipina Women in the World Award™ (Global FWN100™) that recognizes Filipina women who are influencing the face of leadership in the global workplace. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Habitat for Humanity Hong Kong.

 

About the moderator

Eileen O’Connell is an Associate Partner in EY’s Financial Services (FS) Organisation helping clients to transform their business through Data and Technology, and managing the Go-To-Market with their technology alliances across Asia Pacific. Eileen has more than 20 years of experience in the Technology sector, and came to Hong Kong on a 2 year secondment as Managing Director for Collaboration Solutions with Verizon Business in 2003 - a familiar Hong Kong story.

In 2011, as a Sales Director with BT, Eileen joined the British Chamber, and quickly became engaged with the Women in Business committee. Having  managed multi-cultural teams across Europe and Asia Pacific, and as a Woman in Technology, she is a passionate advocate of Diversity & Inclusion.

Eileen was appointed Chair of the Women in Business committee in January of 2021, and has been instrumental in the success of the committee in advocating policy change and driving chamber membership over the last 10 years.

A Permanent Resident of Hong Kong SAR, Eileen attempts to speak passable Cantonese, and has been involved in many local community initiatives in Hong Kong. She has volunteered her time with the Christina Noble Childrens’ Foundation since 2007 as a Director on the Hong Kong Fundraising board, has a BSc in from Goldsmith's College, London University, and is an Alumnus of the Hong Kong University Board Directorship programme 2014.
