The impact of COVID-19 on construction in Hong Kong: What should Contractors, Employers and Consultants do?

The measures to limit and contain COVID-19, both in Hong Kong and mainland China, have had profound implications for the construction industry. These have included site shut downs, suspensions of material supplies and difficulties arising from implementing safe working practices. The ability of consultants and government departments to provide timely information and approvals has also been impacted.

Whilst the first priority will always be taking the necessary measures to protect health and safety the commercial implications of delay and disruption to projects are likely to be profound. This webinar will examine the current situation and the entitlements of parties working under Hong Kong’s main forms of contract including NEC. It will also consider the key commercial actions parties should take to resolve matters collaboratively and effectively.

This webinar will consist of a 30min presentation followed by time for question and answers via Zoom.

Details on how to join this webinar will be sent via email within 24 hours of the webinar start time.
