In partnership with Business of Design Week, the Chamber is hosting a number of satellite events where we welcome some of the UK delegates to share their insight on certain topics.

About the speakers

Elisa Harca is the co-founder & Asia CEO of Red Ant Asia, which she established in Hong Kong and Shanghai over 7 years ago. Red Ant works with retailers to connect them via digital marketing to the modern Chinese consumer. Clients include: Lane Crawford, Mango, LUSH, Byredo, Balmain, Charlotte Tilbury, TRIWA, Giuseppe Zanotti, Botkier etc. Elisa is the Vice Chair of the British Chamber Retail Committee and a regular contributor to key industry publications. Entrepreneurial at heart, Elisa set-up a fashion company whilst living in New York called Styleaholics, uniting independent fashion designers with international female DJs.

Frances, Lady Sorrell OBE (née Newell) is a multi-award-winning creative director and a leading advocate for creative education. With her husband John Sorrell, she founded Newell and Sorrell, one of Europe’s most successful design and communication businesses, and two pioneering educational charities, The Sorrell Foundation and Saturday Club Trust, which both work to inspire creativity in young people. Frances has served as Chancellor of the University of Westminster since 2015 and has held numerous advisory roles, including Visiting Professor at University of Arts London, Member of the British Council Design Advisory Board and Trustee of Mencap. Frances is a Fellow of the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures and Commerce, a Fellow of the Chartered Society of Designers, and an Honorary Fellow of RIBA. Frances was appointed OBE in the 2016 Queen’s Birthday Honours for services to art and design education.
