The Business Angel Programme, launched in late 2007, was the first such initiative to be launched in Hong Kong by any of the Chambers of commerce. The Committee is a well-respected and leading source of advice and conduit to funding for young Hong Kong enterprises looking for initial or growth investment from our growing network of Angel investors. Since its inception, the Angel committee has reviewed applications from hundreds of enthusiastic Hong Kong entrepreneurs, introducing many of them to a wealth of Angel Investors and Professional Advisors drawn from the membership of the British Chamber. The Business Angel Programme runs a series of events every year which allows shortlisted candidates to present their business plans in front of a panel of investors and enjoy the opportunity to network and make valuable contacts. The British Chamber Angel Investment Committee is sponsored by Baker Tilly Hong Kong and supported by TiE HK and Connect Communication. The Captains of Industry series sponsored by KPMG invites local and international Chairperson’s and CEOs to speak to the Chamber. This series gives our members an opportunity to be briefed on issues affecting business today, hear about developments within major member companies, and gives profile to international business leaders visiting Hong Kong.

In the Inspirational Women Series, sponsored by Barclays, the Women in Business Committee invite successful female professionals from an array of industries to speak to the Chamber. They provide business updates in a more casual conversational format and share their career stories, including discussion around challenges or hurdles they may have faced in their professional pursuits.

Held on the last Thursday of every month, Shaken Not Stirred, sponsored by Berkeley Group, is a perfect opportunity to meet Chamber staff and members, to make new valuable contacts and form collaborations over a glass of wine. Relaxed and informal, our networking event attracts business owners, senior management, directors and executives from a wide range of business sectors for peer to peer business networking. Come along to enjoy after-work drinks with canapés, win a lucky draw prize and meet a great mix of people in Hong Kong’s finest bars, hotels and venues. Everyone is warmly welcome to come and attend. Bring friends, colleagues and business partners to raise your company profile and develop new business relationships.

This series provides female members of the Chamber and their guests with events that allow them to network, do business and make friends in a relaxed and fun environment. This series is coordinated by the British Chamber's Women in Business Committee, a group of successful entrepreneurs, business owners and experts.  With the support of St James's Place, the Women in Business Committee is looking forward to hosting some great events this year so keep an eye on the Chamber calendar!
