Business Policy Unit (BPU)
The Business Policy Unit (BPU) acts as the ‘think-tank’ within the Chamber, co-ordinating cross-sectoral policy advocacy, comment and feedback to government, regulatory bodies and other consultative and non-governmental organisations on policy issues that are important to businesses in Hong Kong.
Membership of the group comprises senior executives from member companies right across the economy and it takes a view of Hong Kong in its widest economic context. In addition to dealing with local policy affecting Hong Kong’s business and regulatory environment, the BPU also focuses on initiatives that will affect Hong Kong’s cross-boundary investment and trade flows, including the Greater Bay Area, as well as Hong Kong’s standing as an international business centre.
