What Can China and Asia Expect from Biden’s America?

What Can China and Asia Expect from Biden’s America?

A few days ahead of the inauguration of Democrat Joe Biden as the 46th President of the United States, Larry Grossman, MD of C|T Group Washington DC, will introduce and explain the policy priorities and challenges for the incoming administration.

The US election was not the landslide for Joe Biden that some had predicted. However, there are high hopes that he will heal the domestic and international divisions that are part of President Trump’s political legacy. What does this mean for America and its place in the world?

Larry will look at the current US domestic political context, analysing the environment in which the new President will be taking his decisions and looking at what will be driving him and his team.

Joe Biden’s likely approach to China is a topic that was much discussed during the campaign and the subsequent transition period. Will Biden and his team take a substantially different approach to outgoing President Trump or will the difference just be in style and rhetoric? How will Biden’s team approach global alliances and multi-lateral institutions and what will this mean for global public policy issues?

Most critically, how will Biden and his team attempt to restore American’s reputation and rebuild trust with its allies after four years of Trump?

Ideally timed just ahead of the transfer of power, this webinar will outline how the new administration is likely to affect the most important geo-political relationship, that between China and the USA.
