In Hong Kong and around the globe there is a great concern over the management of plastic waste. At the same time there is demand for high quality recycled materials for incorporation into new projects. The joint venture of ALBA, Baguio and Swire Coca-Cola have come together to meet these demands and develop an integrated solution for the collection and processing of Hong Kong’s PET and HDPE bottle waste. This presentation will describe how this world class facility and operation is being developed.

About the speaker

Nigel Mattravers is leading the team to develop Hong Hong’s first advanced plastic bottle reprocessing facility being built in EcoPark. Nigel is a Chartered Engineer and Resource and Waste Manager with more than 45 years’ experience and has been responsible for studies, design, finance and project management of numerous resource management schemes in Hong Kong and United Kingdom.
