British Chamber Executive Director, Andrew Seaton Speaks at Hong Kong Association Conference in London, UK
Andrew Seaton, Executive Director of the Chamber, was one of the keynote speakers at the Hong Kong Association’s Hong Kong Business Update seminar in London on 4 January. Other speakers included Priscilla To, Director General of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Jose Vinals, the Chairman of Standard Chartered Bank, and Matthew Rous, Chief Executive of the China Britain Business Council.
Andrew highlighted areas of business opportunity; noted the positive reaction of the business community to a number of initiatives undertaken by the new Hong Kong administration; the positive economic backdrop, with strong or recovering growth in many of Hong Kong’s key trading partners, and the strengthening of Hong Kong’s own growth. He said that despite some risk factors this added up to a more optimistic picture of business prospects than had been the case for some time.
