Catherine is Managing Partner for YouShan Capital, Advisor for Baidu Changcheng Investment Partners. Previously she was Corporate Vice President for Baidu, in charge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) commercialisation in enterprise market. Catherine has held other senior executive roles in large MNCs driving digital transformation, including VP of Microsoft China for intelligent cloud, VP & GM of GE China for digital health and digital business, and GM of Oracle APAC and China for Exadata (big data) solutions.

Catherine’s industry experience includes telecom, banking, insurance, healthcare, Power & Grid, oil & gas, aviation, transportation, manufacturing, retail, media & Internet etc. She is an Independent Non-Executive Board Director for BUPA, and also a global advisor in Airbus STAR programme. Catherine also is the Vice-Chairman of the China Software Industry Association, and serves as a committee member on other organisations including the Worldwide Industrial Internet Consortium, CCW CIO Consortium, China Medical Association, China Radiology Association, and Hospital Information Management Association (CHIMA).

Catherine is an active advocate and leader in women's leadership development. She was the founder and hub leader for Woman Network and Woman Leadership Programme in APAC for Oracle and GE. She was also invited to give a keynote speech at China Association of Woman Business Leader, and also the Worldwide Mobile Conference on the topic of Women Leadership Development.

About the moderator

Kirti Lad is the Executive Director of Meraki Executive Search & Consulting Limited and created by the leadership team of Harvey Nash APAC. She has worked in Executive Search for over 20 years.

Kirti is the pioneer behind the Women's Directorship Programme, a joint-venture with The University of Hong Kong, a corporate governance programme to help women prepare for board responsibilities. Kirti also leads the Meraki Network, an Executive Women's network in the region and is an active member of the Women in Business Committee at the British Chamber in Hong Kong.

In 2015, 2016 and 2017, Kirti was named as one of the Global Top 50 Diversity Professionals in Industry by the Economist Magazine. In 2013, Kirti was featured in the South China Morning Post's annual Women Of Our Time magazine as one of Hong Kong's 25 most inspirational and influential women who have contributed to the city's success over the past year. She is married and has two young children, Roy and Ava.
