The Britcham Women in Business Committee is delighted to welcome Janice Lee, Managing Director of PCCW Media Group, to be the next speaker in our Inspirational Women Series.

Janice Lee is Managing Director, PCCW Media Group, in charge of the Company’s media and entertainment businesses, including Hong Kong’s largest pay TV service, Now TV, and over-the-top (OTT) entertainment services, including Viu, and digital music service, MOOV.  She spearheaded the internationalisation of PCCW’s media business of Viu which is now Asia’s leading video streaming service with over 20 million active users across 16 markets in South East Asia, India and the Middle East. 

Janice joined PCCW in January 2003 and was appointed Executive Vice President of TV & New Media in 2006.  She was appointed Managing Director for PCCW Media Group in 2010.

Janice serves as a board member of STX Entertainment, a Hollywood film and entertainment company based in US. She also serves as an independent director on the board of Sogou (listed on NYSE), a Chinese internet search and AI company and is a member of its audit committee.

Janice has over 25 years of experience in media and consumer businesses. She was named "Asia Media Woman of the Year" by Content Asia in 2016. Leading US entertainment reporter Variety also named Janice as a woman of impact in their “Power of Women Impact Report” in 2016. 

About the moderator:

Jasper Donat began his career in advertising in 1987 in London. He moved to Asia in 1995 to work for Star Sports and joined Channel [V] in 1997 where he worked on the launch of music channels across Asia Pacific. Jasper co-founded BRANDED In 2001 and has since created the “Matters” series of events including Music, Sports, Gaming and Digital. He was the founding producer of the global touring YouTube FanFest and created It’s a Girl Thing, Asia’s only festival for teenage girls.
