The Britcham Women in Business Committee is delighted to welcome Katia Bassi, the Chief Marketing Officer of Automobili Lamborghini, to be the next speaker in our Inspirational Women Series. Katia is the first woman ever to join the Lamborghini Board. Prior to joining Lamborghini, her previous roles have included Vice President of Aston Martin Lagonda and Managing Director of AM Brands, Licensing Manager at Ferrari, Commercial Director of FC Internazionale, and Country Director – Italy for the NBA.

Since she joined Lamborghini, Katia has launched the Female Advisory Board, or FAB; an initiative running around the world to create a community of strong female leaders and bright minds. The aim is to inspire a new generation of young women in the business world, highlighting the value they add to their own fields of industry. FAB events have already been held in Singapore, Los Angeles, Sydney, Dubai, Tokyo, London and New York. Hong Kong & Macau are coming up next, and last but not least Italy.

The discussion with Katia will be moderated by Tricia Weener, Global Marketing Director for HSBC Commercial Banking, and the chair of the British Chamber’s marketing and communications committee.

Join us to hear about Katia’s experiences at a senior level in the automobile industry, and her initiatives to inspire young female professionals in the workplace.


About the moderator

Tricia Weener is Global Head of Marketing for HSBC Commercial Banking as well as Asia Head of Marketing for HSBC Commercial Banking and Global Banking & Markets. Prior to HSBC, she founded and was CEO of Intelligent Marketing. Tricia started her career at BAe, before moving into a number of senior marketing roles, client and agency side, working in industry sectors including: retail, FS, drinks, FMCG, travel and sport. She graduated with a 1st class (Hons) degree in Business Studies prior to completing her professional Diploma in Marketing with the CIM.

Tricia is Chair of the British Chamber's Marketing and Communications Committee, Chair of the Marketing Society Asia, and a Sustainability Leader for the HSBC Group. She currently lives in Hong Kong, but spent much of her career in London and has also worked in Paris and the US.
