The British Chamber’s Women in Business committee are delighted to welcome Joanna Hotung as the next in our Inspirational Women Series. Joanna will be talking about her experience as an entrepreneur in setting up Kids’ Gallery (KG Group), a leading educational organisation specialising in preschool, arts enrichment, performance arts training, and English language learning. The Group owns eight schools and learning centres across Hong Kong.

Joanna founded Kids’ Gallery in 1996 after completing the Marks & Spencer Management Training Programme and a period of time at PriceWaterhouseCoopers as a management consultant. She set up Kids’ Gallery inspired by her desire for a more enquiry-based education for her own children.

Joanna is also Chairperson Emeritus of Youth Diabetes Action, and has held Board positions at Playright Children’s Play Association, Hong Kong Ballet, Bring Me A Book, and The Women’s Foundation Entrepreneurs Network. Joanna has degrees from London University and Warwick University, and is a Licentiate of Trinity College London.

Awards include SCMP Woman of Our Time and the AmCham Women of Influence Entrepreneur Award.
