In a push to drive FinTech development, the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA) will start issuing licenses to operate virtual banking platforms in the coming months.

At this event an industry panel will explore how the launching of new virtual banks will impact the retail banking landscape in Hong Kong – how are the incumbents reacting, what are the new entrants looking to achieve and what will become of the traditional bricks-and-mortar bank branch.
