About the speakers
French entrepreneur Delphine Lefay co-founded OnTheList, a platform pioneering the concept of independent, members-only flash sales in Hong Kong – launching in Singapore this September.
After completing a Master’s degree in Luxury Management in Europe and Asia at the Université Paris Dauphine, she went on to manage brands across Europe and the Asia Pacific in marketing, sales, and business development. Prior to setting up OnTheList, Delphine held the role of International Sales Development Manager for a Paris based shoe, clothes & accessories brand in her homeland of France and moved to Hong Kong in January 2015 to assume the role of Asian Sales Manager for Groupe Eram, an international group of 12 accessible, responsible and online fashion brands.
During her time in Hong Kong, she and co-founder Diego Dultzin Lacoste noticed a gap in Asia’s luxury retail industry – an absence of options for premium brands looking to dispose of excess inventory. OnTheList was established to fulfil this need. Combining their extensive retail and luxury brand knowledge and connections - including expertise managing international distributors - she and Diego developed a unique, sustainable, business model that appealed to both brands and consumers; offering brands access to a wider consumer base and a more sustainable approach to clearing excess stock, while consumers gain access to premium products at great prices.
Today, OnTheList is sought-after by big names like Armani, Vilebrequin and Roberto Cavalli and connects over 200 premium fashion and lifestyle brands to its 160,000 members and counting.
Edward Bell is responsible for the development of brand strategy, the development of commercial, operations and consumer insights, loyalty marketing and marketing communications for the group globally.
New to the Cathay Group, Edward has spent his career to date mostly working as a marketing strategist and later CEO for marketing and communication consultancies across Asia and Greater China, working for a diverse set of brands and businesses from global beverage brands to state owed banks. During this time, he also served as adidas Greater China's Director of Marketing Communication, responsible for the 2008 Olympic campaign.
A seasoned marketing professional, Edward is the recipient of the prestigious IPA and Jay Chiat awards for marketing effectiveness and strategy in addition to multiple AME and Effie awards. A frequent speaker and author on the topics of marketing, creativity and innovation, Edward is a keen contributor to the marketing and student communities.
Tricia Weener is Global Head of Marketing for HSBC Commercial Banking as well as Asia Head of Marketing for HSBC Commercial Banking and Global Banking & Markets. Prior to HSBC, she founded and was CEO of Intelligent Marketing. Tricia started her career at BAe, before moving into a number of senior marketing roles, client and agency side, working in industry sectors including: retail, FS, drinks, FMCG, travel and sport. She graduated with a 1st class (Hons) degree in Business Studies prior to completing her professional Diploma in Marketing with the CIM.
Tricia is Chair of the British Chamber's Marketing and Communications Committee, Chair of the Marketing Society Asia, and a Sustainability Leader for the HSBC Group. She currently lives in Hong Kong, but spent much of her career in London and has also worked in Paris and the US.
About the moderator
Peter Craughwell is a member of the marketing team with PwC Hong Kong. He specialises in Banking, Insurance, Asset Management and Deals, as well as managing the firm's relationship with the British Chamber. Peter has 25 years of marketing and corporate communications experience in both public and private sectors. He arrived in Hong Kong in 1999, having previously spent ten years working in Milan, Italy.
