About the speakers
Dervla Louli is the Founder of wellness travel portal Compare Retreats and a Digital Editorial Consultant based in Hong Kong. She was formerly the Digital Editor of Hong Kong Tatler, the Director of Integrated Content at Edipresse Media Asia and the Managing Editor of Sassy Media Group where she oversaw seven websites spanning Asia, the Middle East and Australia. She was also a regular freelancer for the fashion pages of South China Morning Post.
She has moderated events at The British Chamber of Commerce, Hong Kong University and Swire Hotels, and was the youngest panel member invited to speak at the Goldman Sachs' International Luxury Conference in 2013. Dervla has a Master's in Finance from Trinity College and a Bachelor's Degree in Business and Law. She is a member of the Global Shaper Community, part of the World Economic Forum and a certified yoga teacher.
Hong Kong-born Kiri Sinclair is a highly regarded thought leader in the Greater China PR industry, Founder and CEO of leading Integrated PR Agency Sinclair, and Chair of PRHK, Hong Kong’s public relations association. A strong advocate and regular commentator for the PR industry, Kiri is also on the Board of The Marketing Society and was recently named Campaign Asia’s 2018 PR Agency Head of the Year. As agency leader, Kiri is responsible for Sinclair’s team first culture, talent development, and the innovative business and client strategy Sinclair is known for across its offices in Hong Kong and Shanghai.
Kiri has directed and implemented PR strategies and advised senior clients across the luxury, consumer, corporate and government sectors. She is an expert at developing creative brand building strategies at both a global and local level, strategic events and managing sensitive issues for world-leading clients. Her forward-thinking and creative approach to communications has seen Kiri lead her teams on countless award-winning campaigns, with the agency’s industry-leading reputation reconfirmed when Sinclair was named Campaign Asia’s 2018 Greater China PR Consultancy of the Year.
Penny Murphy has over 14 years of experience in growth marketing, branding, digital, strategy, planning and content marketing primarily in the B2B and technology industries. In her role, Penny works closely with leaders across the business to build the Arcadis brand through market positioning, thought leadership and sustainable propositions leading a multi-disciplinary team across Asia to deliver across all aspects of marketing and communications.
Penny has been in Asia for over six years and before joining Arcadis she was responsible for the identifying, developing and implementing marketing entry or market enhancements opportunities for The Economist in Asia. Prior to this she worked across technology accounts such as Cisco, Lenovo and in the UK she held multiple marketing roles within the FMCG industry. She has an academic background in marketing disciplines and is a Chartered Marketer with a solid track record in leading integrated marketing and change communications to success at an international, regional or local market level utilizing her international and Asian heritage.
About the moderator
Douglas White has over 30 years of digital experience and is founder and CEO of PRDA one of Asia's first social media marketing agencies. He is a lecturer at HKU, an MIT mentor at HKSTP, an IBM level 5 global project manager and has developed the 5 Step 4 KPI process of social media management which is implemented in more companies and more professionals trained in Asia than any other single methodology.
Douglas' agency provides social media support for The Asian Youth Orchestra and he is also the Director of Business Development and Social Media for the world's largest sports and cultural event, Gay Games. His agency provided the digital marketing for Gay Games Hong Kong at the recent Paris2018 games in August where 2,000,000+ people watched 10,317 participants through 8 online channels in 7 languages. Douglas' focus is digital audits, consulting and training to align social media strategy with business objectives.
