It is an exciting time for Hong Kong, as we forge ahead on the journey of accelerating Innovation, Technology and Entrepreneurship in our city. Seventeen years have passed since HKSTP’s inception, with the Park now evolved into a true I&T ecosystem - where talent, ideas, infrastructure, R&D, and investments meet. Now, with the recent HKSAR Government’s injection of $10 billion, and the introduction of Technology Talent Admission Scheme and Postdoctoral Hub programme to attract top talent to our shores, the pieces are in place to take HKSTP to the next level. Mr Albert Wong, Chief Executive Officer of HKSTP, shares the latest updates for the Park and the next round of initiatives to turn Hong Kong's Innovation & Technology sector into a key economic pillar.

Albert Wong is the Chief Executive Officer of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks Corporation (HKSTP), having joined the company as Chief Corporate Development Officer in 2016.

Albert holds an engineering degree from the University of Hong Kong, and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. He has over thirty years of commercial experience with various multinationals, including Schlumberger, Caterpillar, Emerson Electric and General Electric. Before joining the HKSTP, Albert was the CEO of ATAL Engineering in Hong Kong. Prior to that, Albert spent fifteen years with GE in the US headquarters, Asia-Pacific and China, in which he was responsible for M&A, Business Development, Product Management, and Business Operations. Albert’s last positions at GE were China CEO of GE Oil & Gas; Asia CEO of GE Industrial Solutions.

Albert is committed to building an ecosystem in Hong Kong to drive development in Technology, Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and he firmly believes that the future of Hong Kong rides on the success of this ecosystem.
