About the speakers

Ding Li is a Senior Sustainability Consultant and is leading Cundall’s strategic sustainability offering in Asia.

She is a Certified Associate in Project Management through the Project Management Institute. Ding specialises in the field of environmental management consulting, as well as corporate social responsibility (CSR) rating and advisory services.

With strong communications skills and a proactive approach to clients, Ding supports companies in embedding sustainability principles into their business operations and organisational culture. She has extensive experience in assisting global multinational corporations with developing their corporate sustainability strategies, policies as well as setting their action plans on environmental issues.

 

Simon Leung is the General Manager of Tung Fat Ho Building Material Limited overseeing both its Design Strategies and Enterprise Governance.

Simon is a registered architecture ironmonger in UK. He has completed his Master course of Design Strategies at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University in 2017.


To prepare for a longer journey ahead, Simon got the LEED Accredited Professional certification (BD+C) from U.S. Green Building Council (USGBC) in 2018 to promote using resources more efficiently via the latest building material technology. He was invited to join Environment & Sustainability Committee of Hong Kong General Chamber of Commerce and the Property & Construction Working Group as the building material supplier representative led by BEC Climate Change Business Forum Advisory Group, works on setting targets and strategies aligned with the Paris Agreement. He is now planning to obtain the WELL AP and ASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) before the admission for the Master of Science in Integrated Project Delivery at the University of Hong Kong in Sept 2018.

 

Victor Li is currently the Business Development Director of Dunwell Enviro-Tech Holdings) Ltd, one of the pioneering environmental management and technology providers in Hong Kong. 

Victor has over 20 years experience in environmental & waste management fields and substantial experience in introducing and lining up overseas environmental technologies for Hong Kong and People’s Republic of China.   He oversees the Hong Kong operation of various chemical waste management programs, remediation and cleanup, one stop recycling services and energy saving for clients including HKSAR government, major utility companies, property management sectors, transportation companies, etc.  Victor has been actively advising various environmental companies from Europe, North America, Middle East, Africa, Asia-Pacific on the latest technological development and market dynamics and presenting in many overseas conferences and occasions.

Graduated with Bachelor of Engineering at Dalhousie University, Canada, Victor also holds a Master of Philosophy degree of Industrial Engineering & Engineering Management from Hong Kong University of Science & Technology.

Victor is also serving as Immediate Past Chairman for Hong Kong Waste Management Association, Fellow member for Hong Kong Green Strategy Alliance, Member for HKSAR’s Environment and Conservation Fund (ECF) Research Projects Vetting Subcommittee (RPVS) and Member for Advisory Group of Climate Change Business Forum of Business Environment Council.


 

About the moderator

Rachel Fleishman leads the regional advocacy and sustainability communications functions for BASF in Asia. Her aim is to engage stakeholders across the region to create chemistry for a sustainable future – building coalitions and regulatory regimes which meet the needs of societies, markets and the environment. She also contributes to the continuous evolution of sustainability at BASF and speaks regularly on the topic. 

Prior to joining BASF, Rachel held management positions at several government, business and non-profit organisations, including the Climate Change Business Forum, the Clinton Global Initiative, the American Chamber of Commerce to the EU, Sprint, and the Pentagon. She holds a BA from Tufts University, an MA from the University of Maryland, School of Public Affairs and an MBA from Kellogg, at Northwestern University. Ms. Fleishman is a Senior Fellow at the Center for Climate and Security in Washington, D.C and serves on the board of the United Jewish Congregation of Hong Kong.
