The co-working space sector has taken flight in recent years, leasing significant commercial spaces in Greater China’s tier 1 cities such as Beijing, Hong Kong and Shanghai. Who are the major players and users, and where is the sector headed in the near future?

This event aims to explore the answers to these questions and address the reasons behind the rise of the co-working space sector and the emerging trends.


About the speakers

Nigel Barnes is the Vice President for Development in Asia for Spaces.  For over 10-years, Nigel has been at the forefront of the flexible working revolution in Asia with market leader IWG, growing national and regional networks with IWG’s Regus and Spaces brands.  Nigel is originally from the UK and comes from a commercial real estate background, which over 20-years has been active across Asia, the UK and Central Europe.





Reed Hatcher is Head of Research, Hong Kong at Cushman & Wakefield. His main role is to provide high-quality, timely and forward-looking research reports, special white papers, and analysis of data and trends for the benefits of clients and of the Cushman & Wakefield platform. 

Reed has 15 years' experience in the real estate industry in Asia and the US advising high-profile clients on their real estate decisions, driving key initiatives in Asia Pacific region on best practices and cross-country consultancy engagements.
