MEET OUR STAFF
The daily operations of the Chamber are run by the Executive Director, and our team manages various operational areas, as well committee representation. Please reach out to one of the below team members if you require any information.
Andrew is the Executive Director of the Chamber and is responsible for the Chamber’s overall management, its financial status and staff. Andrew has extensive experience of living and working in Hong Kong and China from his previous career in the UK Foreign Office.
Jessie is the General Manager of the British Chamber and is responsible for the overall operation of the Chamber. She seeks opportunities for committee members to meet and speak privately with government officials and other prominent member of the community to discuss issues that are of concern. Additionally, Jessie looks after the Construction Industry Committee and the Education Committee.
As the Finance Manager of the Chamber, Michelle's responsibilities includes handling the day to day financial transactions of the Chamber, the full set of accounts, bank reconciliations, and the preparation of monthly reporting package for the General Committee.
Emily is responsible for the overall marketing strategy and external communications of the British Chamber. This requires communicating effectively through the Chamber’s digital platforms, and various publications that the Chamber compiles which include 'Britain in Hong Kong', the Chamber's bi-monthly magazine and the annual ‘British Business’ membership directory. She also looks after the Luxury & Retail, Innovation & Technology and Marcomms committees. Emily has over five year’s international experience in marketing and communications for globally recognized brands and agencies.
Hugo's role is to facilitate, monitor and coordinate the development of the Chamber’s business policy activities, and promote the best interests of the Chamber. Hugo is the point of contact between overseas British Chambers of Commerce, as well as British business organisations. He also looks after the Business Policy Unit, China Committee, Environment & Energy Committee, Financial Markets Committee, International Infrastructure Forum, and the Smart Cities Forum.
Krystyna is the Events & Sponsorship Manager overseeing the British Chamber's active events programme of briefings and seminars, as well as managing major events and series. She is also responsible for sponsorship and partnerships, working with sponsors to create stand out events and content driven series that enrich the Chamber's events offering. Krystyna is also the Chamber's representative on two committees: The Strategic Supply Chain Forum and the Women In Business Committee.
Heily is part of the events team, helping to coordinate and deliver all events at the Chamber. She looks after the Emerging Leaders Committee, SME & Start-up Committee and organises all SME related events and activities.
Marian supports the Events and Marketing teams with the day to day running of general events functions and larger special events. Marian is responsible for putting together all our event flyers and the e-newsletters that are sent out, as well as keeping our Social Media pages up to date with the latest Chamber news and activities. She also looks after the Chambers Business Angel Programme.
Silvia is the Membership Executive for The British Chamber. Her role within The Chamber is to recruit new members, and look after existing members. Silvia is also the Chamber representative for the Real Estate Committee, Healthcare Committee, CSR Steering Group and the HR Advisory Committee.
Candice is Andrew’s Executive Assistant. She looks after his schedule and meeting programmes. She also works very closely with the General Committee; she arranges the monthly Gencom meetings as well as liaising with Gencom members and the government officials for private discussion meetings. Being the first point of contact to Andrew, she is trilingual: English, Cantonese & Mandarin.
Yammie works closely with the events team and looks after the administration and registration of individuals at all Chamber events. If you have any question about your event registration please don't hesitate to get in touch with Yammie.
Sam looks after all the administration tasks for the office. As the first point of contact in the office, Sam will be happy to provide assistance in any way he can.
