OBJECTIVES

Aim

The aim of the group is to vigorously represent and promote the collective interests of its members and the Chamber in Shipping, Transport and Distribution within Hong Kong, the Region and Globally.

Strategy

• To liaise and assist proactively with other related organisations;
• To participate authoritatively in consultations conducted by the government and other agencies;
• To be the voice of the Chamber on relevant issues;
• To actively seek information on initiatives both internally and externally, and to share and encourage an exchange of views;
• To provide advice to the General Committee on relevant matters;
• To add value through providing information, training, business services, networking, opportunities, preferential purchase schemes, and other services which bring measurable value to its members and the Chamber;
• To promote and strengthen friendly, productive, and mutually profitable business relationships;
• To be actively pro-Hong Kong, and to meaningfully support initiatives taken by the Government and other bodies to promote Hong Kong as the world's top Shipping, Transport and Distribution Centre.
