Volunteer Positions

Enlighten-Action for Epilepsy is a seven year old, bi-lingual, independent, non-medical, non-government registered charitable (Charity Licence No:91/6578) organisation. Our Mission: Is to widen opportunities and choices for people affected by epilepsy and to raise awareness of epilepsy issues in all sectors of the community. Our Vision: Is that people with epilepsy will achieve greater control of their lives through adequate levels of support and will be given equal opportunities in our society.

Our Aims & Objectives:

To offer free services to people with epilepsy, their families, carers, friends and colleagues.
To break through the myths and misunderstandings about epilepsy.  
To eliminate fear and stigma that surrounds epilepsy.  
Increase support and understating for those affected by Epilepsy.  
Ensure those affected by Epilepsy are included in our society.
Provide up to date facts and information.

Volunteer Opportunities Available:

1.      Bookkeeper/Accounting Assistant:

·        This person will assist the Administration & Office Manager with book keeping matters and the preparation of monthly accounts.

·        Bookkeeping/Accountancy experience is essential.
6 to 8 hours per month on average.

2.      PR & MARKETING ASSISTANT

·        Prepare press release and promotional materials

·        Liaise with media  & advertisers and organise press events

·        Manage database

6 to 8 hours per month.

3.      Filing Assistant:

We are in need of a detail oriented person who can assist with the set up of a structured filing system.
