A chance to challenge yourself with a new up-and-coming sport, meet new people and relax over some nibbles and drinks
This July, join us as we celebrate the summer with BritCham’s first evening of lawn bowls. Whether you are new to the sport or an old hand, enter the tournament to vie for the title of "BritCham's Best Bowlers". Coaches from the Hong Kong Lawn Bowls Association will kick off the evening with a private coaching session and then teams will compete in a tournament for the highest score to win!
Located conveniently near the Tin Hau MTR station (exit A2), several bus routes or taxi, the venue, Victoria Park, is Hong Kong’s oldest public green.

Date: Thursday, 23rd July, 2009

Time: 7 – 10pm
|
|
Venue: Bowling Green, Victoria Park, Hing Fat Street Entrance, Causeway Bay
|
|
Cost: Members - $300 / Non-members - $350 Price includes entry into tournament,
use of bowling green and unlimited nibbles and drinks (including wine, beer and soft drinks)
Spectators - $130 (for those wishing to eat and drink but not participate in the tournament)
|
|
Dress: Sports clothes and trainers (no heels allowed on the green)
|
Enter individually or as a team of 4 people. Individuals will be randomly placed into teams 4. Three short games of triples will be played, wherein teams change every four ends and accumulate their team scores.
