David Campbell, Director of British Trade & Cultural Office in Taiwan, will give a brief update on the economic and political situaion in Taiwan; discuss recent Cross Strait developments, and  highlight opportunities for British companies in Taiwan.

David Campbell has been Director of the British Trade & Culture Office in Taipei since February 2009. He was Deputy British High Commissioner, Singapore from 2003-2007 and Deputy Head of Mission, British Trade Commission, Manila from 2000-2003. He joined the Foreign and Commonwealth Office in 1981 and has served in Geneva, Belgrade, Canberra, Budapest and the Caribbean, as well as various assignments in London.

David will give a brief update on the economic and political situation in Taiwan; discuss recent Cross Strait developments, including negotiations with the Mainland on a proposed Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA). He will also highlight opportunities for British companies in Taiwan and talk about how the British Trade & Cultural Office (BTCO) in Taipei can help.
