Dr. Liao Qun, Chief Economist and Head of Research at CITIC Bank International, will review the regulatory and market developments in RMB business in Hong Kong over the past 3 years, and then share his views on how the regulatory framework and market will evolve going forward.
Dr. Liao has been working for the Bank since 2002, engaging in macroeconomic analysis as well as sectoral and market research. Dr. Liao worked at the Standard Chartered Bank as Senior Economist over the period from 1995 to 2002, and at the State Planning Commission of China as Senior Economist and Chief of the Economic Forecasting Division during 1984-1991. He received the PhD in Economics from the University of Oxford in 1997.
