The technology requirements of an SME can be met in an ever increasing number of ways, ranging from systems managed completely in-house, outsourced to a partner or to being hosted in “the cloud”. Understand what technology could be outsourced to third parties, and what questions to ask them (and yourself) before taking the leap.
About the speakers:
Brian Liu – Managing Director PTS Consulting Group
Following a career advising major corporate occupiers in Europe and Asia, Brian founded PTS Consulting Hong Kong in 2001, with a view to offering independent technology advice to Asian clients, in an environment dominated by local vendors and system integrators. PTS has since expanded its footprint to Tokyo, Singapore, Shanghai and Sydney, augmented by principal offices in London, New York, Houston and Dubai providing Enterprise Technology Consulting, Managed Services and Resourcing solutions to local, regional and global clients.
James Oliver – Managing Director of Principle One
In 2003, when traditional outsourcing providers were targeting only larger companies, James Oliver saw a rising need for high-quality technology outsourcing tailored to smaller and mid-sized businesses. To meet this need, he left his position as the Asia Pacific head of technology infrastructure in one of the world's leading investment banks and founded Principle One. Starting with just three people in a small office in Central, Hong Kong, Principle One proved an instant success. Growing rapidly, the company now employs over 60 people in Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo.
This seminar is organised by the SME Committee. A sandwhich lunch will be provided.
