Paul Sands is Country Manager for Virgin Atlantic and has previously led major product launches for the airline. Inspired by the first flight of a commercial aircraft powered by biofuel, Paul also recently completed a PhD studying the factors that influence innovation.
Paul will be sharing the highlights of his research and leading an informal lunchtime seminar. What are the factors that push innovation in a certain direction, and how can we encourage that direction to be towards sustainability in particular? Paul's presentation will include what we can learn from Betamax videotapes, your computer keyboard, a plane that does not exist but should, steam powered cars, and golf carts.
