2009 was a tough year for many in Asia but the beginning of a steady recovery is already taking place. There is new optimism in the market and many employers have indicated they will increase staff levels in 2010. The annual Hays Salary Guide will be launched at the breakfast on 3 February. Nigel Heap, Managing Director of Hays Asia Pacific, will present key recruiting trends across Asia as well as provide insight into the recovery and some of the changes we're anticipating in 2010 as a result.
Also presenting will be Kelvin Lau, Regional Economist of Standard Chartered Global Research team. Kelvin will give his views on the 2010 economic outlook with a special focus on Hong Kong and China especially on what that means to the labour markets across sectors. Kevin will also touch on how economic structural shift, in part induced by the latest crisis, could over time impact the hiring picture.
