The UK Financial Services Authority (FSA) will be visiting Hong Kong in October. The Chamber has invited Verena Ross, Director of International Division, Jon Pain, Managing Director of Supervision business Unit and Clive Adamson, Director of Major Retail Groups to give an overview of the international regulatory landscape including key themes on capital and liquidity, remuneration, as well as cross-border supervision.
Verena has been the Director of the FSA's International Division since Oct 2009. The responsibilities of the Division include delivering a strategic approach to FSA's International work, co-ordinating or supporting the FSA's EU and international committee work and providing technical advice on EU and international policy issues.
Jon joined the FSA in 2008 as Managing Director of the Retail Markets Business Unit and became the MD of Supervision in October 2009. He has overall responsibility for the supervision of all relationship managed and small firms. In addition, the business unit also provides advice and guidance on regulatory matters to both regulated firms and individuals.
Clive is the Director of the Major Retail Group Division of the FSA, which is responsible for the supervision of the main UK banking and insurance groups.
