Psychometric profiling techniques have been used for decades to assess the suitability of people for given roles and careers. The most commonly used psychometric profiling technique is the Myers Briggs Type Indication (MBTI) which uses 4 preference categories to profile individual’s perception and decision making mechanics.
The study of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) expands on the MBTI to offer a further 19 ‘Complex Meta Programs’ which, when applied correctly, give a detailed profile of how an individual will perform in given circumstances, what types of job or position an individual is most suited to, and how long they are likely to stay with a given employer.
These techniques are invaluable for employers to assess both interview candidates and understand how to get the best out of, and how to retain their employees.
