 Franchised buses are responsible for transporting over 33% of the daily passenger journeys in Hong Kong.  Despite its importance as a transport mode, the predominantly double-decker bus fleet has been attributed to be a key contributor to roadside air pollution. 

During this session KMB will share its views on the readiness and deployment of the latest green technologies, its latest push on zero-emission electric buses, the constraints bus operators are facing in pursuit of green, and its perspectives on the stakeholder landscape shaping the air pollution problem in Hong Kong.

Evan Auyang is the Deputy Managing Director of The Kowloon Motor Bus Company (1933) Limited (“KMB”), the largest franchised bus operator in Hong Kong.  In this presentation he will share the latest initiatives being explored by KMB in pursuit of greener performance of its bus fleet.  During this session KMB will share its views on the readiness and deployment of the latest green technologies, its latest push on zero-emission electric buses, the constraints bus operators are facing in pursuit of green, and its perspectives on the stakeholder landscape shaping the air pollution problem in Hong Kong.
