These days, with the pace of business being so fast, many managers and business owners feel they are running on the spot, spending all day replying to emails or attending meetings: activity that often has no meaningful outcome. Not being able to stand back and focus on the strategic picture can be detrimental to the growth of one's company. Many people are stressed- out, work late and have no proper quality of life.
The speaker will talk about his own experiences in addressing these challenges over the years, as his own business has seen double digit growth annually. He believes that with the right habits, procedures and people in place it is possible to run a smooth operation, satisfy the right type of customer and still go home at 6 pm every day to spend time with one's family.
About the speaker:
Christopher Riley is the owner of Sercura, a global quality and compliance company that provides product inspection and factory audit services mainly for British, American and Australian retailers. The company employs nearly three hundred people across Asia, Europe and the United States.
He was educated at Stonyhurst and Bristol University, where he read Russian and Politics, following which he joined the Royal Hong Kong Police. He has been managing teams and running companies in Asia for over twenty-five years and has extensive knowledge of business issues in China and the region. He is a regular speaker and has published three books on related topics.
