Shenzhen led the way as reform and opening up began. Shanghai strove forward through the 1990s and 2000s. Has the time arrived for Chongqing to become China's development superstar? Bo Xilai's impact is being felt. A new special economic zone is about to be launched. And the Central Government has named the Municipality one of China's five key cities.
Nick Whittingham, the Consul-General in Chongqing, will talk about these developments and share his views on Chongqing's role in China's development during the coming decade. Madame Shirong Li, Director of Chongqing Committee of Foreign Trade and Economic Cooperation (COFTEC), will also join the presentation to discuss business opportunities in Chongqing. .
