China Overseas Investment Summit 2011

Event date:
Tue, 15/11/2011 - 09:00 - Wed, 16/11/2011 - 17:00

The first China Overseas Investment Summit will be held in Hong Kong on 15-16 November. The British Chamber has been invited to be one of the co-organisers for this event.

According to China's statistics, the average annual growth rate of China's overseas investment was around 54% over the past 7 years with an annual investment approaching US$60 billion, being among the top 5 worldwide. In the 12th Five-year Plan, the Chinese government has highlighted its determination to accelerate its pace of investing abroad to an amount no less than the foreign investment into China.

In view that 65% of China's overseas investment being completed in or through Hong Kong it is needless to say that Hong Kong will play an increasingly important role in China's overseas invesetment in the years to come.

This 2-day Summit will focus on Global Resources and Chinese Overseas Investment Strategy on the first day, and on the second day it will discuss China's entry into the WTO in retrospect and its future outlook.

This is not a British Chamber event. Details of the programmed are attached. For more information, please visit the official website - www.chnoi.com or call 2111 4110.
