 In 2010 InvestHK supported an all-time record of 284 firms to invest in Hong Kong.  In recent years the UK has overtaken Japan to be the Department’s third largest source of projects, behind the US and Mainland China.

InvestHK is responsible for attracting companies from around the world to set up and expand in Hong Kong. It provides foreign and Mainland companies and entrepreneurs with a range of free advice and support to help them to grow their presence in the SAR.

In 2010 InvestHK supported an all-time record of 284 firms to invest in Hong Kong.  In recent years the UK has overtaken Japan to be the Department’s third largest source of projects, behind the US and Mainland China.  

Simon Galpin joined InvestHK in 2001 and is the Director-General of Investment Promotion at InvestHK. Prior to that, he spent ten years as the Head of Asia Pacific with Scottish Enterprise. He was initially posted to Hong Kong in 1992 but also worked in Glasgow, Taipei, Sydney and London.
