 John Slosar became the Chief Executive at Cathay Pacific on 31 March 2011. He joined the Swire group in 1980 and has worked with the group’s Aviation Division in Hong Kong, the United States and Thailand. He was appointed Managing Director of Hong Kong Aircraft Engineering Co Ltd in 1996, Managing Director of Swire Pacific’s Beverages Division in July 1998 and Chief Operating Officer of Cathay Pacific in July 2007. On 1 July 2010, he was appointed Chairman of Swire Beverages in addition to his current role at Cathay Pacific.
Mr Slosar is also Chairman of Hong Kong Dragon Airlines Ltd and on the boards of Cathay Pacific Airways Ltd, John Swire & Sons (H.K.) Ltd, Swire Pacific Ltd and Swire Beverages.
Mr Slosar is a graduate of both Columbia University and Cambridge University.
