Anne MacCaig has been CEO of the UK's largest Fairtrade hot drinks company Cafédirect since March 2008. In June, Anne was named Triodos Ethical Business Woman of the Year in recognition her extraordinary determination to improve the lives of more than a million people across the developing world. As well as pioneering ethical best practice, Anne led the company to scoop more awards than any other UK beverage brand at this year's Great Taste Awards, known to industry aficionados as the foodie Oscars.
Prior to Cafédirect, Anne worked for more than 20 years in marketing and senior management roles with major brands from Persil to Dove and Rolls-Royce and Age Concern. As Ribena's Marketing Director, Anne led the brand's strategic turnaround, including the 95% of Britain's Blackcurrants Make It Campaign, and worked with blackcurrant growers and The Wildlife Trusts to encourage bio-diversity on British blackcurrant farmers.
