Sponsored by

From opening the first store in Happy Valley nearly 30 years ago in April 1981, today 7-Eleven has over 1,000 stores in Hong Kong & Macau and a clear position in the hearts and minds of all Hong Kongers.

Whilst being famous for cigarettes, newspapers and magazines, ice-cold drinks and beer, the store concept today has evolved to include other products and services to encompass convenience. This includes a wide range of Ready-to-Eat and Hot Food such Noodle Soups, Garlic Noodles, Hot Dogs, Fish Balls and the famous Hong Kong Milk Tea and the sale of phone cards, Octopus value top-up, mobile phone battery recharge and e-convenience services such as bill payment, fulfilment for internet purchases and pre-payment for internet virtual tokens.

Our guest speaker, Tim Chalk, CEO 7-Eleven Hong Kong and Macau, will discuss how 7-Eleven built its brand in Hong Kong and will share some of his tips on how to succeed in Hong Kong’s tough business environment by understanding customer needs, meeting changing expectations and having the structure and strategy to grow your business and come out on top.

About the speaker:

Tim has been the CEO of 7-Eleven in Hong Kong since May 2010 having previously been the Commercial Director responsible for Merchandising, Marketing, Distribution and Supply Chain.

Born and educated in England, following graduation from Nottingham University, he spent six years at Sainsbury’s and a further six years at Tesco in their Head Office Trading Divisions before becoming Alldays Plc Convenience Stores’ Trading and Marketing Board Director.
