The 16th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF)

Macao's largest annual international trade and economic event - The 16th Macao International Trade and Investment Fair - will be held in the Venetian Macao-Resort-Hotel from 20 to 23 October 2011.

Macao International Trade and Investment Fair is currently the only exhibition event accredited by The Global Association of the Exhibition Industry (UFI). Last year, 318 trade and economic delegations from more than 60 countries and regions participated in MIF, and also 1,511 business matchings. Serving as a regional co-operation platform for Macao by maintaining close ties with the Chinese Mainland, particularly the Pearl River Delta Region, Portuguese-speaking countries, the European Union and the rest of the world.

This year, MIF will maintain the theme: "Co-operation - Key to Business Opportunities". Taking advantage of Macao's multi-cultural characteristics and role a a regional business service platform. MIF will further promote trade and economic co-operation for the enterprises in Macao and the Mainland and their counterparts in the Portguese-speaking countries, with the aim of developing Macao into a platform for trade and economic co-operation as well as cultural exchanges between China and the Portuguese-speaking countries. 

To foster business cooperation and exchange between the stakeholders, the organisers will provide a series of new services adding value to the exhibition: apart from the FREE business matching sessions, a networking cocktail will take place on 21 October with all international and local exhibitors and delegations. Additionally, this year, each exhibitor will be entitled to broadcast its corporate advertising video in the 12 Macao Trade and Invest Kiosks, free of charge.
