One half of the world's population now live in urban areas, a figure that is expected to rise to 60%by 2030. Some two billion more people are expected to live in cities in developing countries by 2030; these two billion people will require the equivalent of the planning, financing and servicing of facilities for a new city of two million people every week for the next 20 years.

Dr Alan Knight, a leading UK-based advisor on sustainability and corporate responsibility, will give an update on the latest thinking on sustainable development and the massive impact, both positive and negative it can have on international commerce.
