The Baker Tilly Hong Kong Business Angel Programme
Call for start ups

If you have a great idea, or have started a new business and are looking to grow, the Chamber would like to help. Within the membership there are many entrepreneurs who have made it, and professionals whose expertise could be invaluable to your successful development, as well as individuals who are looking to personally invest in start-ups.

The idea for an Business Angel Programme came through wanting to create a forum where new businesses could come for funding, as currently nothing of its kind exists in Hong Kong. If you would like to be involved then you will need to present your business plan to a small, hand-picked group of potential investors. Each member will sign an NDA before your presentation.

We are accepting applications all the time, but they will only be reviewed in the run up to the event. The deadline for sending in applications will be announced shortly.  Applications will be reviewed by a committee and shortlisted for interviews. Four candidates will be put forward for the final presentation.

Once the candidates are selected, we will work with each candidate to help answer questions and develop their presentations.

The presentations will take place at a breakfast meeting and each presenter will be given 10 minutes to present, with an additional 5 minutes for questions.

If you would like to apply then please read the steps below and download the application form by clicking here.

Here are the steps to applying:

  1. Email emily@britcham.com requesting an NDA.

  2. Once you have received the NDA , please email your application form for review before the deadline.

  3. We will contact you to let you know if you have been selected.   Please note that if you are selected you will only have a few days to prepare the 10 minute powerpoint presentation that you will need for the interview stage so you may want to put some thought into that while you are preparing your business plan.

  4. If you are selected you must be available for the interview meetings and for the final event.  If you are not available for those dates, please do not apply.  These dates will be announced shortly.

  5. If you are not selected you are free to apply again for the next event
