Real Estate Committee

The Committee reviews and comments on Government legislation and regulations; promotes the free market of Hong Kong and its standing as a regional and international business centre; represents the views of the Chamber on real estate issues and to provide a forum for Chamber members with regard to the real estate industry of Hong Kong.

The Committee provides information on real estate matters that affect the business of Chamber members in Hong Kong; and promotes social corporate responsibility and sustainability amongst Hong Kong's real estate community.

Her extensive experience in the private sector enables her to develop strategic partnerships with multi-national corporations, private family foundations and high net worth individuals to address housing issues in Hong Kong and fund international development projects, as well as work with bilateral donors to provide humanitarian aid in the Asia Pacific region.
Born in the UK, Katherine has lived in Hong with her two teenage daughters since 2016. She has been actively involved in the British Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong since 2019 and is currently Vice Chair of the Social Sustainability Committee.

She is currently a Responsible Officer and board director of IPIM, and she sits on the Investment, Governance and Risk Committees. As Group Head of Investment, Selina oversees IPIM’s investment strategy, focusing on opportunistic and value add strategies in alternative real estate sectors including student accommodation, build to rent and hospitality. Selina’s experience in purpose-build student accommodation investment includes the development and investment management of 12 properties in the UK comprising 2,180 beds with a GDV of approximately £225 million. She is currently focused on establishing a new fund to invest in the development and operation of student accommodation in Iberia. Selina is passionate about giving back and developing others, and is involved with the University of St. Andrews’ e-Mentorship Programme. She is a strong advocate for progressive work practices for her team, and is keen to encourage a diverse culture.
